Why couldn't the police have shot the hairbrush out of the young man's hand especially after they were informed by the young man's mother he didn't have a gun? Why couldn't the police have shot the young man in the leg or used a taser to bring him down? How would the police have handled the situation had the person been white? Would the police have shot a white man at least twenty times as they did this young black mentally ill man? When the mother called the police for assistance, she was calling for protection not the murder of her son. Kheil Coppin was probably in a manic state of mind and should have received psychological intervention. Instead, he received 20 bullets to his body which ended his life.

Will there be any justice in this case, or will it be another young black male becomes another statistic? The unjustified murder of young black males by the police and anyone else must end and end today.
